Pretty, homely, well-considered dining spaces indoors and out. Dogs welcome outside. Sunny lunchtime when we visited but there was a covered veranda and tables under canopy. Lovely pot plants around the patio, and crocheted throws on the benches, gives a colourful, country crafts vibe. Lovely place to be. Food was home cooked and very nicely presented. Shipyards IPA and cloudy cider on tap. Good selection of cakes (boxed up for us to take-away) and their evening menu includes pizzas (from their pizza oven in the courtyard). Will have to come back to try those another time! For now, we can highly recommend this place for a bite to eat after a long morning walk to Roseberry Topping.

Stopped here for lunch for the first time today and will definitely be returning. I loved the feel of the place as it was very quirky yet homely. The food was also very good especially the vegetable soup which was just like home made soup you used to make at home The coffee was also excellent Lastly the service was fantastic with all staff we encountered very friendly

Lovely little cafe. Really friendly staff, and served a superb oat latte. Wife had a latte and cake, Grandaughter had a fruit tea cake. We love Gt Ayton, history and it’s a lovely walk from one end to the other.

Superb little place. Very friendly and welcoming. Great little courtyard beer garden with pizza oven (although we sat inside).

Such a cosy little place, staff are so welcoming, warm and pleasant. Popped in for a coffee and we were tempted to have a scone too. Definitely recommend and will be back.

Stopped in here after a hike. Absolutely lovely place! great coffees, I had a club sandwich which was delicious. The staff were also super friendly ...

Great atmosphere, friendly staff. Dog friendly with indoor and outdoor seating. Great coffee and food at a good price. I've been numerous times and would highly recommend.

Lovely stone baked pizzas, pizzas come with plentiful amounts of toppings. They have gluten free pizza dough available, which my partner said it was the best one they had tried. Nice and cosy seating with indoor and outdoor space.
